Teething is Crashing the Sleep Party
He’s now got the tips of teeth #3 and #4 on the top. Surprisingly not the front two, but the ones on either side of the front. He’s almost got a fang look going on. It won’t be for long though, as those front teeth, #5 & #6 are not far behind. He’s become friends with Tylenol every evening for quite some time.
When not sleeping, he his chewing on everything! I try to make sure if he’s got a chewing need to give him the baby banana since that actually helps and he doesn’t get frustrated or want to move on to something else.
So, because of all this teething and a few unscheduled naps too late, his sleeping has gotten off schedule this past week or so. I’ve been using his nap times to try and function in the day. As of now, he’s also getting better at falling asleep on his own. I’ve not been staying in the room “hiding” while he tries to fall asleep, but actually leaving his room. I go back in 3-5min later and either pick him up to settle him down again or just incrementally turn down his lullaby music and leave again. Usually only need to go in 1-3 times so far. Fewer times at bedtime and more for naps. Which is understandable. He’s growing up!
